Bonjour à tous,
Ma résidence à pris fin le 14 juin dernier et l'exposition s'est poursuivie pour 2 autres semaines.
Dans ce parcours artistique, l'évolution du projet m'a mené à réaliser une série de photographies que j'ai nommé « Catherine ». Fait historique, le décès de Catherine Cuthbert fut la raison de la construction de la chapelle par son mari James Cuthbert en 1786, n'ayant pas de chapelle protestant à l'époque. Cette motivation, qui vient d'un vécu humain, soit la perte d'un être cher, m'a profondément touché et c'est pourquoi elle est devenu le filon du projet. J'ai donc revisitez les lieux où elle a vécu en déplaçant la forme rouge que vous pouvez voir sur les photos. Originalement, cette forme, déjà sur place lors de mon arrivée, a pour but d'identifier le lieu où Catherine a été enterrée.
Comme première expérience, j'ai fait 4 broderies sur du voile, représentant chacune une sphère de la construction de l'identité et de la mémoire collective soit: le territoire, le patrimoine vivant, le patrimoine bâti et la tradition orale. À travers la recherche d'archives dans différents lieux, j'ai pu transformer les images par amalgame et jeu de proportion.
Cette expérience a été enrichissante et créativement intense. Le lieu fut magique et paisible. La nature m'a apporté beaucoup de calme et j'ai pu prendre le temps de m'arrêter.
Chaque rencontre et discussion ont contribué au projet. Je remercie d'ailleurs les personnes ayant pris le temps de me parler de leur histoire et de leur passé avec ouverture et générosité.

Hello everyone,
My residency ended on June 14th and the exhibition continued for another 2 weeks.
In this artistic journey, the evolution of the project led me to produce a series of photographs that I named "Catherine". Historically, the death of Catherine Cuthbert was the reason for the construction of the chapel by her husband James Cuthbert in 1786, having no Protestant chapel at the time. This motivation, which comes from a human experience, the loss of a loved one, has deeply touched me and that is why it became the project. So I revisit the places where she lived by moving the red shape that you can see in the photos. Originally, this form, already on site at my arrival, aims to identify the place where Catherine was buried.
As a first experience, I did 4 embroideries on the veil, each representing a sphere of the construction of identity and collective memory: territory, living heritage, built heritage and oral tradition. Through the search for archives in different places, I was able to transform images by amalgam and proportional game.
This experience has been rewarding and creatively intense. The place was magical and peaceful. Nature has brought me a lot of calm and take the time to stop.
Every meeting and discussion contributed to the project. I thank the people who took the time to tell me about their history and their past with openness and generosity.
